The Virtual Room is now permanenlty closed for gallery redevelopment after five successful years. For any enquries please contact skenderdine {at} museum.vic.gov.au

The Virtual Room is a state-of-the-art display environment. It is a unique place for the visualisation of scientific and historical ideas, and associated objects. It is your first glimpse of an entirely new imaging technology. It's still experimental and promises to change the way we see things.

The exhibit will serve to captivate the imagination of young people, enhance their learning experiences and encourage them to pursue careers in science and technology.
The Virtual Room technology lets you see around, above, below, and through digital objects and moving images as you explore the display.
Come in and experience a revolutionary way of seeing.
This is a project between Museum Victoria, Swinburne University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Monash University & Adacel Technologies. This project has been funded by the Victorian Government's Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Initiative.
